THERE IS NO PLACE LIKE HOME

We have returned to St. Michael parish church in Daleszyce, where in the previous years we conducted a number of works. This time, reconstruction and conservation works are required by the side altar of St. Francis and the other one with the statue of Jesus.

The side altar with the statue of Jesus dates back to 1920 and was made in Neo-Baroque style. Currently, the facility is in poor technical and visual condition. First, we will clean and remove unnecessary layers of paint and gilding; due to the fact that we will use LASERBLAST 2000 laser, the works will be performed in a minimally invasive way. We will have to dismantle some of the elements and transport them to the workshop. Both the design and details require filling in missing parts and reproducing details and colors. We will select appropriate conservation methods based on the existing condition and after removing further damaged layers. We will also renew the painting presenting angels.
Side altar of St. Francis dates back to a similar period as the altar with a statue of Jesus – 1920, however, the traces of manual processing suggest that the object could have been made before the last reconstruction of the temple. As in the case of the first side altar, the condition of the whole is bad and requires thorough cleaning and conservation. Works need to be executed with regard to layered and degraded gilding, which will be removed using a laser. The original color will be recreated along with the gold leaves’ gilding of the altar. The design and details also require attention. We will perform partial disassembly and transport of details and sculptures to the workshop, we will complete the missing parts and we will impregnate them. The paintings will be dismantled and we will place them on new frames as well as repair missing parts and abrasions occurring locally.

We put our heart in stone.
