Square of the BVM in Kielce

Revitalization of the downtown of Kielce – reconstruction of Blessed Virgin Mary Square and the surrounding streets, from Sienkiewicza street to Blessed Virgin Mary Square and Kapitulna street.

The works at the square consisted in executing a new surface, made of granite cobblestone and the adaptation of the area to the users’ new needs. Scope of works included the execution of:

– the surface made of irregular cobblestone, 10 cm high (grey granite) – 3856m2
– the surface made of granite slabs, 40×40 cm, thickness 10 cm – 597.5m2
– pavements made of concrete cobblestone, dimensions 20×20 cm, thickness 6 cm – 2099m2

– pavements made of granite slabs, 20×30, height 10 cm – 954.5m2
– stone curbs, dimensions 6×20 cm, with sand bedding – 316m
– stone curbs, dimensions 20×30 cm – 1389m
– granite blocks, dimensions 40×40 cm, thickness 20cm, straight block steps – 363 pieces.

Landscape architecture has been introduced and the necessary installation works have been executed. Stylish street lighting and spot lighting was also executed. All the works have been executed under archaeological supervision and with prior archaeological examinations of the object.
