TWO TOWERS – CRACOVIAN BISHOPS PALACE

Conservation works are ongoing at the Cracovian Bishops Palace. This object is one of the most impressive monuments in Kielce, which in recent years has undergone many renovation, restoration and reconstruction works.

Our company had the pleasure to participate in this renewal work over the last dozen or so years and to implement a large part of the works: We have executed the reconstruction of three baroque portals, made of black marble, we have carried out the reconstruction of the retaining walls with armour stone and the execution of the northern terrace surface of calcite cobblestone, which you can read about here >>. The next stages were the reconstruction of the front yard, as well as the restoration of the facade, which you will learn more about here >>.

At this stage, we plan a comprehensive renovation of the main body facade with two towers from the gardens’ side. The scope includes, among others, conservation of sandstone stone elements such as: window framing, portals, cornices, balustrades and metal elements. The vaults in the western loggia along with stucco details and sgrafitti, the frieze under the main vault, will also undergo thorough maintenance.

We will keep you informed about the work progress in subsequent news.

We put our heart in stone.
