ANOTHER STAGE OF WORKS IS ALREADY BEHIND US
Despite the difficult situation related to the pandemic and taking all precautionary measures, we are able to complete the next stages on the facilities where the works had already started. We have carried out a number of demolition works in the building of the former Agricultural Syndicate. We have removed all plasters and floors. Brick partition walls as well as wooden walls uncovered during plaster removal have been dismantled. We have also demolished the secondary wooden outbuilding.After the demolition part, we could start the works related to the replacement of wooden ceilings with the new ones – steel joists type. t the same time, construction works related to the replacement of the roof and the towers on the front wall, characteristic of this building, are in progress.
We are strengthening the existing ceilings, as well as rebuilding the existing walls that have been damaged by unused flue gas chimneys. During such dynamic works, we often find various unexpected gems – this time we have discovered the original window and door openings with the then woodwork and decorative grates that have been bricked up.
During the subsequent stages, we will execute the insulation of the foundations as well as new floor layers. Moreover, metal wind ties/braces crowning the towers in the past will appear soon.We will inform about the work progress in the next news.
