Built around 1880 for well-known Warsaw sculptor-stonemason, Aleksander Sikorski in a Neo-Renaissance style, the museum building stands out from the high-rise residential buildings of the “Srebrna” housing estate. The assumption concerning this place was to create the Warsaw lab, which tells not only the history of the city, but also raises the issues concerning the identity and the future of the capital in the context of the development of the cities in Europe and all over the world.
