Tarnowski Family Castle in Dzików

COMPLETION DATE: 2010—2011
LOCATION: POLAND

Former residence of Tarnowski Family – the Castle in Dzików, along with the surrounding park is one of the most valuable monuments of Tarnobrzeg. It was destroyed in 1927 and later rebuilt in neo-baroque style, however, in subsequent years, it was falling into disrepair.

The risk of losing the extraordinary historical values of the castle was removed after the building was designated for museum purposes. Conservation and renovation works covered the entire castle and park complex.

We have carried out a number of stone works, such as the execution and installation of sandstone Corinthian column heads, reconstruction of window frames, clock, fireplaces and portals, also made of sandstone. We have laid new pavements made of granite cobblestone, in which we engraved the city crest. The entire woodwork in the building has undergone reconstruction and conservation.

We have executed all the required sanitary and rainwater drainage installations, along with waterproofing the foundations in the northern part of the castle. Additionally, a lift has been installed.

The facade has been restored to its original state – it required plastering, painting and in some places, filling the defects in stone.

Renovation, conservation and adaptation works carried out have made it possible to adapt the building to the needs of the Tarnobrzeg History Museum.

We put our heart in stone.
